Workin on the Yard.

So when we moved in, the house looked like this. (Take notice the HUGE bushes....)

And this is the house as of right now. No we're not done, but there is a lot of work that has to be done on it! Yea for maintenance taking cutting down the bushes! They cut them down since they were getting so large they could hurt the house and they were blocking both windows to Abigail's bedroom, which is a safety hazard. So can you say....

They said they will be coming back later to grind down the stumps....When? I don't know probably not for a while since they try to do all the cutting down of bushes in housing then rent the tree stump grinder tool thingie for a day. So we are moving forward trying to make the lawn look nice. There were wooden flower beds but they were rotting and home to termites because they were put in back in the 70's, along with the horrendous lava rock we had to move from our front bed.

So we decided to put in some pavers to line the flower beds. Note the paver laying sand stuff. (I can't remember the technical term for it at the moment.) Also if you come over and try to steal our pavers you wont be able to since we used our friend liquid nails to glue them together.

If you didn't know, my hubby used to do landscaping for Eschenfelder Landscaping. Granted we don't have wads of cash laying around to put down on the yard so it will be simple and blend in with the other houses.

Of course we had a little helper working on the yard. Specifically testing the mud out.

I can not wait til we finish the front yard. The grass is going to have to take some time since we are in a major drought here and can't water much. Wish me luck since its 2 in the morning and I have a lot of work to do today!
